Woodrow Wilson House Annual Garden Party

COMPETITION'RISING:
Woodrow Wilson House hosted its increasingly competitive hat competition at the 17th Annual garden party on May 11. Extravagant chapeaux included large sun bonnets and ten-gallon cowboy hats decorated with fragrant blooms. Sara Hazelwood and Christine Lonergan earned showstopper status and took home prizes from local Georgetown shops.§
RITE'OF'SPRING:
The early evening cocktail party has become a rite of spring for many Washingtonians including Connie Lawson, Rosemary Carter and Nina Boggs. §
EVENING'DELIGHT:
Occasions Caterers served amuse-bouches and petitfours, which complemented the breathtaking peonies and hydrangeas provided by local fl orists. The event raised $35,000 for the Woodrow Wilson House, Washington’s only presidential museum.
