National Gallery of Art “Toulouse-Lautrec and Montmartre” Preview Dinner Patrons of the arts gathered to celebrate the kick-off of the “Toulouse-Lautrec
and Montmartre” exhibition at the National Gallery of Art’s East Building on
March 16. The exhibit showcases 250 works by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec
and his contemporaries, who captured lively images of life in the Parisian
district of Montmartre at the turn of the 20th century. Three hundred and
twenty five guests were in attendance, including arts, theater, corporate and
government leaders. Prior to the artistic preview and dinner, guests were
greeted by French cabaret music performed by an accordion trio on the
mezzanine floor of the National Gallery. The exhibit will be on display until
June 12th.
