Hosts Kevin Chaffee, Nina Auchincloss Straight, Franco Nuchese, Soroush Shehabi and our own Nancy Bagley welcomed over 200 guests who came to meet the beautiful dancers of the Martha Graham Dance Company at Café Milano on February 16. The company, known for its innovative and diverse modern dance productions, returned to the Kennedy Center for the first time in 10 years after a three year copyright battle over rights to the works created by the late choreographer, Martha Graham. Guests included George and Liz Stevens, Bitsey Folger, John Firestone, Walter and Ann Pincus, Joan Tobin, Danish Ambassador Ulrik Federspiel, David and Janet Bruce, Andrew and Leslie Cockburn, Mike Peabody, Kathleen Matthews and Margaret Carlson.
