Second Genesis Gala
Celebrating Life

Second Genesis celebrated 35 years as the area’s premier substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation program with a gala at the J.W. Marriott on September 30. The evening’s honoree, Maryland First Lady Kendel Ehrlich, addressed the crowd and WTNT AM 570’s Paul Berry served as master of ceremonies and auctioneer. Following dinner, Gammy-winning superstar Michael Bolton entertained guests who stayed on, despite the fact that the first presidential debate was on television.

Second Genesis also announced that former Redskin and two-time Super Bowl champ Dexter Manley was signing on in October as director of community outreach and will be leading the youth substance awareness program. The anniversary celebration netted over $500,000 for Second Genesis’ programs.
