| Tudor Place Annual Garden Party |
For the eighth consecutive year, Georgetowners made merry at Tudor Place’s annual Garden Party. Theinvitation-only summer soirée attracted scores of residents to the historic home’s 5-1/2 acres of statelyformal gardens. Amidst well-manicured lawns, charming terraces, and arching trees, this year’s partyhonored Mrs. Caroline Simmons, a longtime friend and supporter of Tudor Place, which was turned into aprivate house museum after the death of its last owner Armisted Peter, III. Funds raised at the eventwill be used for ongoing restoration of the house and grounds.
