Style Profile: A soigné crowd celebrated the much-anticipated premiere of a documentary by R.J. Cutler that zeroes in on Vogue editor Anna Wintour as she and her impossibly hard-working staff put together the famed September 2007 issue, the largest in the magazine’s history. Of course, the screen style legends were nearly eclipsed by the evening’s very chic guests at the after-party hosted by the Gilt Group. THE EVENT: A stunning transformation of a cavernous space for a smashing gala that raised $750,000 to provide hospice care for people unable to afford it and to support advanced training for physicians in Palliative Medicine. THE SCENE: Wendy Adeler-Hall and Argentine Ambassador Hector Timerman and his wife Annabelle Sielecki greeted guests as Latin libations and passionate tango music livened up the scene prior to the awards ceremony emceed by 60 Minutes II correspondent Scott Pelley. Hospice advocates Marilynn and Ed Bersoff were honored along with Newsweek’s Eleanor Clift, who helped raise public awareness in her book, Two Weeks of Life, which chronicled her late husband’s hospice experience.

THE SCENE: Noche de Gala may have come to a close, but Reston Limo was waiting to transport guests, including actors Jimmy Smits, Efren Ramirez, and Aimee Garcia, to Gazuza, where the party kept going at a WL-hosted afterparty. Big names socialized with guests at the bar, and everyone enjoyed Bacardi mojitos in the posh lounge and spacious patio, where the scent of hookah smoke filled the late-summer air. THE GUESTS: Actor Diane Minshall, Becca Glover and Pepper Watkins, Jessica Rich, Kristen Cook,  and Jessica Gibson.
