THE EVENT
A fundraiser for the Campaign for
Innocent Victims in Conflict (CIVIC) founded by
Marla Ruzicka to aid victims of war. Ruzicka was
killed by a suicide bomber in Baghdad in April
2005. The event raised $15,000 for CIVIC.

Senators Patrick Leahy and Barbara
Boxer and Marla's sister Jill Leighton Ruzicka
spoke about their expeirence with Marla and her
successful eff ort to secure $25 million for medical
and vocational assistance for Afghan and Iraqi
families.
