THE EVENT
Discerning shoppers gathered to raise
money for Czech supermodel Petra Nemcova's Happy
Hearts Fund, which was founded to raise money for
children in need in South East Asia. The fund focuses
on those aff ected by the 2004 Tsunami in Thailand in
which Nemcova was herself a victim while vacationing
with her boyfriend who did not survive.
THE SCENE
Petra showed a video and then gave a touching
speech on how she came to realize life is precious
because any moment can be our last.
THE GUESTS
Petra Nemcova, Mike and Neda Noorani, Katie Rost,
Mariella Trager and the Nicaraguan Ambassador's
wife Analia Stadthagen, amongst others.
