Diamonds and Boots Under the Stars
DIAMONDS AND BOOTS:
Cindy
and Randy Bapst’s backyard in
McLean was a sea of cowboy hats
and sultry sun-dresses as friends
of Al Fox gathered for the fi rst
annual “Diamonds and Boots
Under the Stars” on June 18.§
HIGH-END HOEDOWN:
Over
200 guests strapped on their
cowboy boots for a hoedown to
support the Community Youth
Connection (CYC), founded by
local humanitarian Al Fox. For
nearly 10 years, the organization
has supplied sneakers, school
supplies, eyeglasses, even cheese
crackers to needy kids in area
schools. The CYC has even
sponsored a trip to Disney World
for underserved kids in the past,
which was followed by a Sears
shopping spree for winter jackets.§
FASHION FORWARD:
Senso
Sesto served a pasta dinner
and guests nibbled on cookies
during an auction for designer
dresses from DeJa Couture,
McLean’s new vintage boutique.§
TENNESSE TWANG:
The night
ended with country music from
Dillon Dixon, David Williams and
James Dean, all the way from
Nashville, Tenn.
