EmceeWRC-TV 4 news anchor Barbara Harrison, well-respected inher own right for her contributions to the Washington community,narrated the singular societal contributions of eachaward recipient as they rode (a few a bit sheepishly) down theescalator. Partygoers stayed out late for a Sunday night, sippingon Absolut chocolate martinis and munching on cakes byCakelove. Live and silent auctions raised $25,000 for HeadsUp D.C., a charity that runs education and enrichment programsfor children and families living in the most underservedsections of D.C.
