Ivory and black patent spats boots, Chanel.Equestrian style has always been a fashion statement for the Potomac andMiddleburg polo elite,but this fall nearly everyone wants to have a touch of thenonchalant thoroughbred look.Whether it is the riding boots...jodhpurs...blanket throw...a horsebit belt...or elegant sportswear,the inspiration isclearly equestrian.
Our models are all volunteers for the National Rehabilitation Hospital ’s AudiPolo Classic scheduled for September 16 (now rescheduled for June),a fundraiserfor the Hospital.The idea for the match was a natural for Dr.Stephan Seager,both a physician for NRH and President of Great Meadows Polo and Co-ChairCarole Randolph,herself a longtime horse lover and fundraiser for thehospital.And now fashion enters the picture as we used Dr.Seager ’s ChetwoodPark as the backdrop for our photos.
The Audi International Polo match will also be held at Chetwood Park and isone of the two events that will raise funds for the hospital.The other is theAnnual Victory Awards Gala that will take place on November 5th at the MarriottWardman Park Hotel.Janet Ochsman: Event planner with Gala Events;mother of 18 year old twins, Jeff and Kim; active volunteer for NRH, Cancer, The Hebrew Home;and The Women’s Auxiliary of the Washington Ballet
