bullet The red, white, and blue of it. One Washington Circle Hotelin Northwest has announced plans to renovate its property from December 3
through April 2002 to create the ambiance of a cutting-edge urban boutiquehotel. A marble floor with inlaid cobalt blue tile will be featured in the circular lobby with floorto ceiling windows and walls; columns will be partially covered in blue glass tile. The circletheme will be played out throughout the entire hotel, from the wood-paneled, blue-lit elevatorsto the public areas leading to guest suites.

Slated to open on December14, the 137-room deluxe hotel is the latest D.C. offering from The KimptonHotel & Restaurant Group. It will feature corridors lined with Chinese redsilk wall coverings, and guestrooms with floor-to-ceiling red faux leather headboards,crimson velvet draperies, and dark red, geometrically patterned carpets.Can we expect a Hotel White next to carry out the theme of patriotism?
