On March 2nd, a fundraiser was held at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School inNorthwest to support its financial aid program. Over $300,000 was raised tomake the school more accessible to children and families who would otherwisenot be able to afford it. The cost for one year’s tuition at the school is $14,000.Currently, the school accommodates students in pre-kindergarten throughthe sixth grade, but planning is underway for the September 2001opening ofa middle school on a new site. New buildings are also rising on either side ofWhitehaven Parkway in an effort to dramatically improve the facilities availableto the school’s nursery and elementary programs.
