Michelle Davis offers soon-to be brides and grooms a feel for their future wedding with bridal runway show.

To inspire new brides, Director of Memorable Moments Event Planning Company Michelle Davis will bring her creativity and exquisite sense of bridal fashion to the runway. Style to the Aisle, a bridal fashion show, has everything a real wedding would, starting with a pre-show cocktail reception and ending with a cake testing, plus make-up tips and your very own take-home swag bag. Featured on the runway will be upcoming designers and bridal boutiques, including Elizabeth St. John Couture, Faye Daniel Designs, and many more. Music will feature live performances from Green Violinist Chelsey Green, with special guest appearances from America’s Next Top Model’s Bianca Golden and Bre Scullark.
A portion of the proceeds will go to a charity who shares a similar passion for wedding planning. The Wish Upon a Wedding Organization’s mission is to provide weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illness or life-altering circumstances, regardless of sexual orientation.

Q&A with Michelle Davis
Washington Life: When did the event debut?
Michelle Davis: The Style to the Aisle event was created Jan of 2011.
WL: Were you the original creator? If so, where did you get the inspiration from, and what steps did you take to make it happen?
MD: Yes, I came up with the concept of this event. After attending numerous bridal expos, I felt there was a lack of emphasis on the beauty and fashion aspect of a wedding and it was time to bring something different to the area, where brides and industry professionals could come out to enjoy, celebrate the new wedding season, and get inspired by the new trends in bridal fashion. After I had the concept together, I started reaching out to industry professionals to collaborate with me.
WL: How would you describe this event?
MD: Vintage, Avant-garde, Modern, Chic.
WL: Does the ambiance represent a wedding you’d plan?
MD: Yes, the ambiance is created to put you in the mood of a wedding but also give you that fashion-week experience.
WL: What is your favorite part about Style to the Aisle?
MD: Selecting the dresses would be my favorite part
WL: Do many of your clients use the designers and boutiques featured on the runway?
MD: No, a lot of the designers we feature are up-and-coming designers/boutiques.
WL:Who will be providing make-up tips, and what is the “tricks area”?
MD: We will have beauty experts Danielle Lewis & Jalea Dodson on hand offering make-up tips and tricks for our female attendees. We all know there are tricks we can use to get that ultra-glam look for that special day.
WL: Your website states the event is meant to give soon-to-be-brides “fashion for thought.” What exactly is Memorable Moments’ mission for this project?
MD: The mission is to have brides come out with their entourage to have a good time, [and] get excited and inspired in regards to their wedding-day look.
WL: How has Style to the Aisle evolved since last year?
MD: We have evolved in a great way since last year with more designers/boutiques and event professionals partnering with us. We’ve secured our first major corporate sponsor this year with Korbel, and the response from models wanting to be a part of the event has been amazing.
