Experience French food and fashion at Nuit de la Mode.

For those seeking an evening full of fabulous fashion and cultural emergence, Nuit de la Mode will be a can’t-miss event. The evening aims to bring together creative collections from around the globe. Guests can submerge themselves in the fashion of contemporary French, Russian, and American designers while tasting ethnic foods and perusing foreign art at the celebrated Hillwood Estate on September 24th.

A fashion show in the Hillwood’s grandiose gardens will kick off the evening by showcasing three international designers. Two designers, Russian-born Marina Asta and French-born Camille Pascal will feature their ready-to-wear fall collections. Local design favorite Elizabeth St. John will reveal her much-anticipated Spring 2012 bridal collection. To accompany the couture, Salon Emage Day Spa – a favorite beauty salon for DC brides – will showcase the latest trends in hair and make-up.

More of a foodie than a fashionista? After the fashion show, a variety of homemade ethnic fare will be sure to please. Arlington’s Café Assorti will prepare dishes from European, Russian and Kazakh cuisines, while Georgetown’s Café Bonaparte will bring its quintessential French influence to the event.

To contribute to the captivating ambiance of the event, DJ Fotifo will be blasting out beats from popular French, Russian and American artists. DJ Fotifo, a Luthuanian-born former music producer, is one of the capital city’s most recognizable names in spinning tracks. As if the featured entertainment weren’t enough, guests are sure to be  further astounded by the estate itself. Hillwood’s featured French and Russian art and a tour of the Hillwood museum’s popular exhibition Wedding Belles: Bridal Fashions from the Marjorie Merriweather Post Family, 1874-1958 are in keeping with the jet-setting international feel of the evening. But the best artistic option of the night? A raffle for a piece by the Russian artist Andrey Bogoslowsky, the best possible souvenir from the cultural event.

The Hillwood Estate, Museum, and Gardens, Alliance Française de Washington & Art Soirée have teamed up to create this enchanting evening on September 24 from 5:30 – 9 PM. Can’t wait for the international extravaganza to start? Click here to purchase tickets.
