With the beaming sun and exhausting humidity of the D.C. summer, it’s nice to take time to rejuvenate, relax and refocus on your health. The new Nectar Skin Bar in Georgetown says they have a way to do just that. Located in a purple 18th century row-house on Wisconsin Avenue, Nectar offers a collection of international beauty products as well as a spa. Longtime Washingtonians Brian and Amy Thomas brought their experiences in world travel and design to the creation of Nectar.

Hoping to address a hole in the beauty market, the Thomas’ sought to establish a results-focused spa with cutting edge technology and a dedicated, knowledgeable staff.

“Our customers will know they can come to us for exceptional service, in-depth product knowledge and a very unique atmosphere, unlike any found at other retail stores in the United States,” Brian Thomas said.

Nectar’s beauty collection includes lines such as Darphin, Butter London and GlamGlow. The spa offers customers a variety of international treatment methods adapted from spas in Europe and Asia. These include Intraceuticals Oxygen Infusion facials, LashDip mascara treatments and Softsense gentle waxing from Italy. Treatments may take place inside the establishment or outside in the 800 square foot garden space.

On July 16 Nectar Skin Bar will host a public open house in the garden area. The event will feature mini spa treatments, makeovers, product samplings and refreshments. For more information, please call 202.333.4332 or visit www.nectarskinbar.com.
