With something for everyone, the beloved performing arts center at Wolf Trap is opening their summer season with the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players’ Mikado, playing May 21 and 22. This satirical operetta has charmed viewers for more than a century, ‘spinning a mythical tale of romantic triangles, blundering officials and clever coincidences.’

Just a quick glance at the rest of Wolf Trap’s summer schedule reveals nights filled with musicals, dance ensembles, operas, and concerts as well as symphony and film pairings. Whether you prefer to sit under the awning or on the lawn with a blanket and picnic basket, this summer promises fantastic entertainment under the stars.
